Early in the morning, Mum spent most of her time carrying and caring for little Lori. Sweet Pea watched from nearby and did not like sharing Mum’s attention. He wanted to be the center of attention just like before.
As Mum gently cuddled Lori, Sweet Pea began making unhappy noises. Soon, his small complaints turned into loud cries that echoed through the area. The spoiled little monkey threw a tantrum, stamping his feet and waving his arms. He looked at Mum as if asking, “Why are you spending all your time with Lori instead of me?”
Baby Lori remained calm and innocent, not understanding why Sweet Pea was upset. She simply stayed close to Mum and enjoyed the warmth and protection she received. Seeing this made Sweet Pea even more jealous. He wanted the same cuddles, kisses, and affection from Mum.
Mum tried to comfort Sweet Pea by calling him closer. However, he was still upset and continued crying loudly. He rolled around and acted dramatic to make sure everyone noticed his feelings. Other monkeys nearby seemed curious about the noisy tantrum.
After a while, Mum gently reached out and gave Sweet Pea some attention. She groomed his fur and let him sit beside her. Slowly, Sweet Pea’s crying became quieter. His angry face softened as he realized that Mum still loved him very much.
Finally, Sweet Pea cuddled close to Mum while baby Lori rested nearby. The jealousy faded away, and the little monkey felt happy again. Even though he had acted spoiled and dramatic, all he really wanted was reassurance and love from Mum. It was a sweet and funny moment that showed how much Sweet Pea cared about being close to his family.
