His small body was covered with dirt and mud from playing on the land all day. The little monkey looked at his hands, feet, and fur and felt very uncomfortable. The mud made his body heavy and sticky, and he did not like the feeling at all. Lion wanted to take a bath so badly because he wished to become clean and fresh again. Tears rolled down his tiny face as he slowly walked toward the water.
The other animals looked at baby Lion with sympathy. Some birds sat quietly in the trees while watching the little monkey cry. Lion carefully touched the cool water with his small fingers. The water felt soft and refreshing against his dirty body. Slowly, he stepped into the river and began washing the mud away. He splashed water on his face, arms, and legs again and again. After a few minutes, the dirt started disappearing from his fur.
As Lion continued bathing, he began to feel much happier. The cool river water made him calm and peaceful. Soon, his beautiful brown fur looked clean, smooth, and shiny under the sunlight. The baby monkey stopped crying and started smiling brightly. He happily jumped near the river and played with the water. The animals around him were glad to see him cheerful again.
After the bath, Lion felt like a brand-new monkey. He learned that keeping clean made him feel healthy and comfortable. Before going back home, he looked at his reflection in the water and smiled proudly. The little monkey was no longer sad because the bath washed away both the mud and his tears.
