The little monkey looked very sad and lonely as it sat quietly on the ground. Usually, the playful monkey loved climbing trees, running around, and playing with the other baby monkeys. But today, something seemed different. Its bright eyes looked watery, and its tiny face showed no happiness at all. Everyone around started wondering, “What happened with the little monkey?” Some thought the baby monkey missed its mother because she had gone far away to search for food. Others believed the monkey may have been tired or hungry after a long day of playing in the hot weather.
The little monkey slowly held onto a small branch and looked down sadly. It did not jump or make funny sounds like before. Even when the other monkeys invited it to play, the little monkey stayed silent and still. Its sadness made everyone feel worried and emotional. A kind older monkey came closer and gently touched the baby monkey as if trying to comfort it. The little monkey finally looked up, but its face still carried deep sadness.
After a while, the monkey’s mother returned and quickly hugged her baby tightly. The little monkey immediately ran into her arms and held her closely. It became clear that the baby monkey was simply feeling lonely and scared without its mother nearby. Slowly, the sadness disappeared from its face, and the little monkey started feeling safe and happy again. Soon, it began playing once more with tiny jumps and cheerful sounds. Watching the little monkey smile again made everyone around feel warm and joyful inside.
